I have been a Hewescraft owner for a couple years now. It is the most incredible boat I have ever owned.
I tried all the others and they look pretty much the same. But once you get out in the "rough" water the similiarity quickly ends.
Thanks for making such a great safe boat for our family !

Thanks for the comment. It's amazing just how many comments we get like this. They truly are a fantastic boat.

Just a reminder for you HewesCraft owners with Honda engines. As the weather gets better???? You will probably want to get your boat out if you haven't all ready and start having fun. Whether it's fishing, crabbing, shrimping, skiing or just cruisin' around you will want to make sure your motors are serviced and in prime condition for the season. The nice thing about a Honda outboard is that servicing is easy. The one thing that you want to make sure of is that the engine and the lower unit oil are fresh. If you didn't change it when you put it away for the winter you may want to get it serviced now. We want you to have many worry free hours out on the water and preventative maintianance is a great way to start.

As a charter boat operator out of Juneau we have owned 2 Hewescraft boats.
We would not consider buying any other boat after using these for 2 years. The Pacific Cruiser is the safest most seaworthy boat we have ever owned -at any price !
keep up the good work !

I can't believe how many Hewescraft boats I've seen out in the Sound and off the west coast of BC. Everybody I talk to tells me how much they love their Hewescraft and wouldn't own anything else.

I know what you mean. I own a 22 Searunner Hardtop. I'm amazed at the ride everytime I take it out. I had a North River before. Nice boat but it rode like a rodeo bull.

I previously owned a Seasport 22 and now a 22 Ocean Pro. I prefer the ride on my Hewes. Plus it's a lot lighter and easier to handle.

Don't forget if you're putting your boat away for the winter you want to make sure you run the fuel out of your motors and put some fuel stabilzer in the fuel tank. This will help you get a fresh clean start in the spring. On carberated motors you should always run the fuel out if you are going to let them set for more than a week. This tip comes from Honda but stands true to any outboard.
Happy Boating
I found other brand boat dealers talking trash about Hewes but I bought one anyhow. After owning one the conclusion I came to is that they were all Jealous. I've owned over a dozen boats...this is the best one yet and probably my last.

Thank you Tom-n-Jerrys for my new 22 Ocean Pro. My wife and I can't tell you enough how pleased we are with the ride and performance. You guys are great and true to your word. My son didn't believe how great a boat it was until I took him out. He to will probably be a new Hewes owner in the next couple years.

You guys definitely have a corner on the market for these boats !
We have a friend who has a Sea Runner Hardtop and you'd think the guy was a paid employee the way he talks about that boat !
I don't know what it is about Hewescraft-but they seem like the "BMW" of aluminum boats !
I guess I will have to come in and see you soon. (and bring my husband) !!

WOW !
Hewescraft AND North River !
You guys have the two top aluminum boats on the West Coast.
How did you score that one ?
Congratulations !

Wow. NR and Hewescraft. I would have thought that 1 of these mfgs. would be enough. i know you guys have built a name with Hewescraft so good luck. i personally like the cruiser models you guys carry. haven't seen a lot with the North River line of big boats.
Yes, we're pretty fortunate to have the opportunity to carry good products. By expanding our selection with another line we can pretty much take care of anyone looking for an aluminum boat. More great news is that we also have a load of Northwest Jet Aluminum boats coming in about 6 weeks.
The Pacific Cruiser you mentioned is a great boat. The ride and standard features that Hewescraft puts on are second to none. we appreciate your comments.
can anybody tell me the advantage of the extended engine mount. It seems it would be ahassle fighting and landing fish. Also does itmake the boat handle different than normal?
Larry, that's a good question. The Extended transom does stick out a couple feet but it gives you more deck space for fighting a fish and with the Hewescraft it gives you a transom fish box. Because it's an actual 2 foot extension of the bottom of the boat it makes an 18ft boat ride like a 20 footer. I never really had a problem with the engine getting in the way fighting a fish but maybe I don't catch enough fish.
can you run a 16ft sportsmen out neah bay or the straight in general.I know common sense plays a role here,i just worry if the weather gets heavy what you think??
thxs for any advice
I was out at Westport last week in a 20ft Searunner with no problem but a 16 would be a bit touch and go for me. It will do it but you would certainly have to pick your days. Like you said "common sense". Those waters get pretty big in a hurry. The 16 Sportsman is better suited for bays, lakes and rivers although I do know people that take them out in the big water.
Kelly
What else can be said, the Hewes Craft is a great boat. We have a 220 Searunner HT w/ ET an have been all over the San Juans already. Halibut season in the straight is tough water and the boat handles it better than us.
And, when you buy from your friends at Tom n Jerry's, you get treated exactly as that....a friend.
I recently fished down in the Westport area for the amazing coho run. Ran out over the bar to the fishing grounds and when I got there other than the charter boats I saw more Hewescrafts on the water than any other brand of boat. Maybe it was just that day but to me it says alot about the product. I'm definetly going to look at Hewescraft for my next aluminum boat.
Parker B-Lakewood
I know what you mean. Fishing the San Juans the other day there were 10 boats around me. 6 of them were Hewescrafts. Caught fish to!!
I bought one of the boat show "specials" but not before shopping around. I have to say that Tom and Jerrys not only had the best price but also the most knowledge of what would work for me as far as boat, motor and options. I am the proud owner of an 18 SeaRunner. I have already used it and caught fish in it. I think this is the best boat I've ever owned and I have owned about 15 throughout my life. Great job guys! Keep up the good work.

Jay, I'm glad you love you boat. It was a pleasure helping you out. Tell my buddies up there in Alaska that I said hi. Keep fishin'
